Ezekiel is an Old Testament prophet sent by God to communicate His judgement on Judah for turning to wickedness. He also prophesied that God would restore them. One of the most well known (and vivid) visions Ezekiel had is about a valley of dry bones. God commanded him to preach to the dry bones (very, very dead people). As he does so, the bones took on flesh, and as he continues to preach, they are filled with breath.
Though in context, this verse is speaking about Israel, the message is the same for us today: The Word of God is the breath of life we need to come alive and survive.
Ezekiel 1:1
"In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God."
